Artist Statement
My practice has always explored the potential of industrial ceramic
processes, such as slip-casting, jigger/jolleying, CNC milling,
decals, etc. to the production of limited editions as well as one-off
products within a small scale studio set-up. My prime aesthetic
concerns have been with the exploration of form through the use of the
multiple, and to develop a range of techniques by which these
can be created through dissection, manipulation and additions. The most
current series has continued from the work originally started
at the Arabia factory, Finland in an attempt to produce groups of works
that create a strong sense of animation in their relationships
with each other.
